Welsh language 'needs twice as much public money', says WLB

The statutory body, which is being dissolved at the end of the month, urged the Welsh Government to push its spending on the Welsh language towards the £20m mark over the next five years. It also said developing the language must go hand in hand with improving Wales’ economy, emphasising the need to secure more jobs for those in the traditional Welsh-speaking communities.
