Massive Tibetan student protest again over switch to Chinese language education
About 4,000 students of Tibetan schools in three counties in Qinghai Province have staged demonstrations on Mar 14 to protest against a possible shift to Chinese as the medium of teaching all the non-language subjects, reported (Radio Free Asia, Washington) Mar 14. The protests were reported to have occurred in schools in Rebkong (in Chinese, Tongren), Tsekhog (Zeku) and Kangtsa (Gangcha) counties.
