Asked how old he was, author and poet Kea’ Modimoeng responded with a laugh: “A bit of an old soul.” Indeed, the young writer would probably be regarded as such in most urban areas, where the love and passion for indigenous African languages is still mostly thought of as something for old and rural types, thanks to the teachings of colonialists.
