Group Fights to Keep Dialect Alive

The Lakeland Dialect Society was formed in the late 1930s as people in Cumberland and Northumbria attempted to prevent their beloved dialect from dying out. And now, 60 years on, the society is looking for new members to help to continue the age-long tradition of speaking in a local tongue.
