BBC Radio Cymru job cuts are 'body blow' to Welsh language

Adam Jones, Cymdeithas yr Iaith Gymraeg (Welsh Language Society) spokesman on broadcasting, said: “We have heard from a very reliable source that the number of staff working for Radio Cymru is to fall from 50 to 42. This is very bad news since it will lead to a an inadequate Welsh language radio service making a situation that is already unacceptable even worse.
